An unnamed 92 year old man will not be charged or ticketed in any way after hitting 11 cars, 10 of which were parked, in a Piggly Wiggly parking lot in Mayville, Wisconsin (about an hour northwest of Milwaukee).

After backing his van out of a parking space, he started forward and suddenly hit the gas and crashed into three cars. He then reversed and slammed into two more vehicles. As the man pulled away, he hit another vehicle, speeding through a right turn. As the man’s van turned down the next lane, he crashed into a pick-up truck and another vehicle. Video of the crash was put on Facebook.

The driver told police he became confused and panicked.

Mayville Police Chief Christopher MacNeill, who told the press that it was a miracle no one was severely injured, also said that the driver would not be ticketed, but “the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles will review his records.”

Because logically we can’t hold old people to the same standards as anyone else…and it shouldn’t be obvious that this guy shouldn’t be driving any more.
