Fond Du Lac resident Don Gorske is actually somewhat of a celebrity, after appearing in Morgan Spurlock’s “Documentary” Super Size Me, famous for a diet that consists mainly of Big Mac sandwiches from McDonalds (and the level to which he’s documented his diet, keeping every receipt for a Big Mac she’s ever had).

Odd, that a man from Wisconsin is known for consuming something with that frequency other than beer and/or brats.

Yesterday, Gorske ate his 25,000th Big Mac, 39 years to the day after his first Big Mac.  Apparently, this is national news:

Normally I’d have a lot more scorn for someone who chooses to eat that much McDonalds–but, in this case, he has at least managed to prove that the premise for Spurlock’s “documentary” is skewed at best, since even after 25,000 Big Mac’s he is healthy (at least physically).

And for that, I’ll lay off.

At least a little bit.
