I’m not sure what’s more embarrassing here, the fact that this happened, or the fact that it actually made it into the news section of a major metropolitan area daily newspaper’s website (where is of course made the most viewed articles section).

A woman (I’m assuming from the dateline and the fact that the article actually came from the LaCrosse Tribune that she was in LaCrosse) brought her husband to the police station for “annoying her.”

She had apparently picked him up (no indication of where from, but I would guess it’s relatively safe to say it was somewhere that drinking was going on), and decided that because he was “talking stupidly” and swearing, that she wanted to drop him off at the police station.

Amazingly enough, the police DID actually arrest the man–not for being annoying, but for two outstanding warrants.

The woman also did receive a warning–not for wasting the police’s time with frivolous claims, but for driving with a burned out headlamp (an officer was preparing to pull her over when she pulled into the police station).
