Quite overdue with this post (another one I found a while back, but never finished posting), but still well worth posting.

Back in early November, the Green Bay Packers faced their arch-rival Chicago Bears in a mid-season Monday Night Football matchup in Green Bay.

As many folks in Wisconsin who weren’t at Lambeau Field did, John Grant and his wife found themselves watching the game at a local establishment. Making their story a little more unique–while his wife is a Packer fan, John Grant is a Bears fan.

Making their story a little more unique–the two made a friendly wager on the outcome.

And, blowing their story into it’s own little stratosphere, John Grant had to deal with the police when he made good on his Bears victory, when he twice used a stun gun on his wife.

Things escalated from there, yadda yadda yadda, and Grant ended up being arrested and facing a $10,000 fine and up to six years in prison. I haven’t been able to find an update on the case, but I did find a video of the actual incident–because who doesn’t video-tape it when you use your stun gun on your wife.
